About Nickel City Vice
Meet Heather Goris, Owner
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I went to the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute where I studied Baking and Pastry Arts. I was a cake decorator for 5 years between Nashville, TN and Buffalo, NY but I wanted to do something different. Making something that I enjoyed eating was important to me and it’s even better to be able to share it with others.
When did you decide on ice cream?
I made ice cream once while in school and immediately bought an ice cream maker. I started with Red Hot Cinnamon Ice Cream which is my Mom’s favorite flavor.
Why a pop-up?
I love being able to test flavors and locations, and attend events. The flexibility also allows me to cater private events like weddings, parties and host collaborated events.
What is your best seller?
Rollin’ in the Dough
Which is your favorite ice cream sandwich?
Batter Up – sprinkles on everything!
Do you ship your sandwiches?
Right now we are only serving the 716.
How do you come up with new flavors?
I try not to think of ice cream. I think of desserts and meals I like and transform it into something that’s nothing like you’ve ever had before. All of the sandwiches are handmade by me which means lots of trial and error, and taste testing!

Make it Sweet.
